The
driver to the wheelstander and team leader. Kerry has always had a
passion for either building or buying and selling hotrods. Kerry is
a certified car crazy kind of guy. Kerry's first experience with
wheelstanders began with the purchase of a '55 Chevy 2 door Belair
Chevy Wheelstander built by Virgil Sellers of Spokane, Wa. Kerry
became a regular for the A.H.R.A. in 1985.Kerry sold this car in
1997 with no plans to own a drag race vehicle again.
In 2000 Kerry and Jackie Watson started
talking about a youth program and decided a wheelstander would be a
great ice breaker to talk to students with. Kerry contacted Virgil
Sellers again and they started planning for the purchase of another
stander. In the spring of 2004 Kerry pick up a '37 Chevy Pick-up,
Virgil built and balanced for over 3 years of driving this truck.
It's chassis is twice the thickness of minimum standard and the
truck went through 17 transmissions and two motors while building it
into perfection. This wheelstander is strong and safe plus steers
and drives like a dream when it comes to wheelstanders.
Kerry's personal best pass is a
124 mph set in Spokane in 2005.
This Full Tilt Boogie shows well, generates
fun and excitement wherever we go!
